The Daily Dash of Digital: Why Community Building Matters More Than Vanity Metrics

Daily Dash of Digital ⤵

Let’s change it up 🔥 instead of focusing on your following/likes make the focus community building the rest will follow.

The amount of followers you have doesn’t matter.

❌The amount of likes you get doesn’t matter.

These two things leave us very frustrated when our focus should be on building an engaged audience. Quality >> Quantity all day.

What matters is if you have an engaged audience.

✔️ You are seeing conversations started by your audience from your content

✔️ Your community is resharing your content

✔️ You are providing value daily and are seeing an increase on engagement

The problem:

We spend way too much time focusing on getting our followers and like count up and not enough time providing value and connecting with the audience we have built and are trying to attract.

Instead do the following:

✔️Take the time to focus on relationship-building marketing tactics

✔️Take the time to focus on the content you are putting out there

✔️Take the time to focus on your analytics

✔️Take the time to connect every single day

At the end of the day, an engaged community will always be better than the number of followers you have.
